Viognier

Quickly creating a love / hate relationship for wine drinkers. On the darling-side: a big-bodied, round and rich white with stone fruit essence and pronounced floral aromas. On the other side: a low-acid, bitter, and oxidative white grape usually grown where it shouldn’t be. However, successful iterations include blending Viognier with others – even red grapes like Syrah – as well as careful site selection and fermentation techniques.
