Merlot

A staple throughout the world's fine wine scene for hundreds of years, Merlots are some of the most collected wines in history. Since it's DNA is comprised of Cabernet Franc and is a half-sibling of Carménère, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, it makes dark wines with bold flavors suitable on their own or blended with others. The name in French is slang for "blackbird".
